|Dear Saint Ann’s School Families,
Each year, our community participates in a Thanksgiving food drive. This year, we will work in partnership with The Church of St. Ann and the Holy Trinity to benefit CAMBA, an organization with a 40-year history of helping Brooklyn residents. Between November 1st and November 17th we will collect non-perishable food items to help individuals and families who are struggling to get sufficient nutrition. It is said that approximately 1 in 5 children in New York City do not receive adequate nourishment, which may actually be underestimating the problem.
We will have collection boxes for cans, jars, boxes, and factory-sealed, long-preserve plastic wrapped items in divisional offices, near the security desk at 129 Pierrepont Street, at the Parish Hall security desk at 157 Montague Street, in front of the security desks at the Farber Building and the Preschool, and in the gym of the Kindergarten at Henry Street. High-protein items such as peanut butter, sardines, tuna, canned salmon, canned chicken, granola bars, and soups are particularly helpful. If you are dropping off a large box, the 157 Montague Street location is preferable.
Again, the dates of the drive will be November 1st through November 17th. If you have any questions about this or any other service opportunity please don’t hesitate to be in touch.
