Puppetry Arts is a Park Slope-based organization that fosters creativity and civic responsibility through the development and staging of puppet shows. It hosts numerous workshops for children of all ages throughout the year – often working with public school children to create puppet shows from scratch! (This process includes writing scripts, making puppets, and, of course, putting on the show!)
On Saturday, June 24th, Puppetry Arts will be hosting a puppet-laden festival in Park Slope, for which 100 volunteers are needed to assist in all facets of the program – help is needed for set-up, the facilitation of puppet shows and puppet creating, as well as clean-up. There will be two shifts: one from 8AM–1PM; the other will be from 12PM–5PM. (N. B.: While Puppetry Arts would appreciate volunteers for the entirety of either shift, any amount of time you can spare would be fine.) Lunch will be provided!
Location: 339 2nd Street, 1R, Brooklyn, NY, 11215
Directions: 4th Street to 5th Avenue (take the R train to Union St. or 8th Street – the location is next to the Old Stone House)
